Troubleshooting Guide

This troubleshooting guide will help you maintain optimal recording film image quality. The tables contain most common Recording Film problems as a result of a variety of possible causes. The right solution is suggested for each cause. Quite often, problems are the result of a combination of multiple causes, therefore requiring more in-depth troubleshooting.

  • Alliance Recording HNU (‘Newsfilm’): economical high-speed, red-sensitive film, intended for exposure in image setters with HeNe laser (630 nm) or red laser diode (670 nm).
  • Alliance DigiDot HND: open-system, high-speed, red-sensitive film with hard dot image quality, intended for exposure in image setters with HeNe laser (630nm-670nm) or red laser diode. Perfect processing in compatible chemistries.
  • Alliance Recording LDD: open-system, red-sensitive film with hard dot image quality, intended for exposure in image setters with LED array (660 nm).
  • Alliance Recording IR: infrared-sensitive film, intended for exposure in image setters with infrared laser diode (780 - 820 nm).
